The job may be full time or part time and the nanny may or may not live with the family. A nannies role is to provide support to the family by being a loving, nurturing and trustworthy companion to the children. A nanny tends to have experience, education or both in the child care field. A nanny provides the family with convenient high-quality care to meet each child’s needs.

Duties include cleaning up after the children, meal preparation, organization of play activities and outings, providing behavioral guidelines, intellectual activities and transportation when required.
